Who are we ?
Since 2009, the Galien Foundation has been organising a Scientific Forum in the United States, alongside the Prix Galien International, which has been awarded for the past 50 years and is positioned as the Nobel Prize for pharmaceutical innovation.
Its initiator, the late Elie Wiesel, Nobel Peace Prize winner, expressed the wish to see these events take place in Africa. The first one took place in Dakar under the patronage of His Excellency Mr Macky SALL, President of the Republic of Senegal, in 2018.
The Galien Forum Africa, managed from Dakar (Senegal), provides a platform for high-level scientific exchange on issues of common interest, the priorities of our continent for Africans and by Africans. It brings together Nobel Prize winners, political leaders, experts, researchers, students, doctors, socio-anthropologists, biologists, innovators, investors, international organisations, civil society, the private sector, etc.
The Prix Galien Africa will be awarded on the margins of the Forum.
