He has worked in international health for 30 years, focusing on access to medicines and vaccines, equitable health financing and health sector management. Dr. Broun is a former Executive Director of Unitaid in Geneva.
As a consultant for WHO and UNAIDS, he has worked on issues including health system reform in West Africa towards universal health coverage, access to medicines and vaccines, harmonization of pharmaceutical regulations, and improving access to tuberculosis medicines in Southeast Asia.
Dr. Denis Broun is a permanent observer in Geneva, (Switzerland) of the Partnership for Population and Development with the rank of Ambassador.
He is also a board member of Empower Swiss and Advisor to the Chairman and CEO of Cipla, a leading Indian generic manufacturer.
